Discover Korean culture and writing through various workshops at the Marseille Korean School stand: calligraphy, mask coloring, greeting cards and lucky charms.
ACTIVITIES AT THE BOOTH
Have you always wanted to understand the Korean language and its script, Hangeul?
L'École coréenne de Marseille will take care of your training! Present at Japan Expo Marseille, the school invites you to learn while having fun through several workshops.
- There's a calligraphy workshop where you can reproduce the Korean alphabet on traditional Hanji paper.
- Open to all ages, they also offer fun activities such as coloring Tal masks! These traditional masks are used in traditional Korean theater and dance.
- If you want to see how far you can express yourself in Korean, try the greeting card-making workshop.
- Discover a workshop for making Maedup, the lucky bows found on traditional Korean costumes.
- Test your creativity in a workshop making Korean Paeng spinning tops decorated with Korean motifs, then take part in a competition!
And throughout the festival, take part in cultural activities on the Kamo stage, focusing on K-pop dance and fan dance.
ABOUT MARSEILLE KOREAN SCHOOL
With the aim of promoting the Korean language to the broadest possible number of people in order to encourage cultural exchanges between French and Koreans, this non-profit association was formed in January 2023 with the following objectives:
- Offer an learning course on Korean culture and language (beginners, initiated, fans of K-pop, Drama, arts, etc.).
- Create partnerships with local associations
- Create a meeting place to learn about major Korean festivals
The Marseille Korean School offers Korean language courses. The school offers beginner, intermediate and advanced courses, for adults and teenagers and, of course, for children. You can follow them via Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date with their school's activity.
