An Unique Pen: The Art of Calligraphy
Calligraphy is the graphic art of writing, common to all writing cultures since time immemorial. From France to Japan, not only the material but also the posture and movements are different: approaching this art of writing allows us to see Japan in a new light.
activities at the booth
At Atelier Duvet, you can witness the richness of the Japanese written language through an exhibition featuring traditional materials, the heritage of school writing techniques, the graphic art of calligraphy and seals.
It only takes a few minutes to learn how to draw a kanji with a brush, following demonstrations by the instructors. Numerous creative workshops are available for the duration of the show, so you can take home your own calligraphy or personal seal!
It's an immersive journey into the heart of a thousand-year-old culture, and an opportunity to practice open to all ages.
You can also find on the stand: exhibitions of traditional and modern objects, initiations and games, workshops, demonstrations, original works for sale...
