CHEFS TAKANO :
France Japon Connexion is a Franco-Japanese association based in Marseille.
It offers a range of workshops on importing and learning about Japanese culture.
These include language courses, sumi-é painting, Ikébana floral art, cullinary art and traditional Kimono wear.
ATELIER DUVET :
Calligraphy is the graphic art of writing, common to all writing cultures since time immemorial. Come to the Atelier Duvet creative workshop, learn and handle the Japanese brush yourself to create your own calligraphy.
K-AMI ORIGAMI :
During the three days of Japan Expo Marseille, the K-AMI Origami association is offering workshops to introduce you to the art of origami, free of charge and open to all, aged 6 and over. The association presents an exhibition of its finest creations, and offers demonstrations of furoshiki, the art of folding and wrapping with fabric.
MONOYA TOKYO :
The Monoya Tokyo boutique is a Franco-Japanese assemblage that binds the couple Yuji and Caroline in a knot of complicity, both coming together in a passion for Japanese craftsmanship and textile traditions.
Their mission? To give new life to kimonos and other traditional Japanese fabrics (obi, haori, yukata...), transforming them into unique, handmade accessories.
Consulat Général du Japon à Marseille :
The general consulate of Japan in Marseille is an official government branch that forges links between our two countries and is committed to preserving its history.
In addition to promoting Japanese culture in France through various activities, the Consulate also handles visa applications for travel to Japan.
Discover Korean culture and writing through various workshops at the Marseille Korean School stand: calligraphy, mask coloring, greeting card making and lucky bows.

CHUUREN POTOS MARSEILLE & Sardin Ki'in
Come and learn the basics of go at the “Game of Go” stand run by the Marseille Sardin Ki'in and Aix-en-Provence Aix&Go go clubs: its members are waiting to explain how to play. And if you're already familiar with Go, come and take on some new opponents!
Passionate members of the CHUUREN POTOS MARSEILLE association are eager to teach you the basics of Japanese Mahjong, known as “Riichi”. For the duration of the festival, initiations and game tables will be available on the stand to enable you to play this ancient game of chance and strategy.
Japan Expo makes a point of dedicating an area of the festival to sports imported from Japan. From martial arts to fencing, meet expert sportsmen and women to learn on the tatami mats.
