Dark fantasy and video game fans, Ainz Ooal Gown invites you to join us this weekend for the theatrical release ofOverlord: The Sacred Kingdom! After Momonga, a veteran player of the DMMO-RPG Yggdrasil, was transported to his video game, he takes on the role of Ainz Ooal Gown, a powerful sorcerer at the head of Nazarick's Tomb. Overlord follows his adventures as he reigns supreme over the tomb, investigating whether other players have suffered the same fate.
In Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, the Sacred Kingdom is threatened by the imminent arrival of the demon Jaldabaoth and his army. The country's rulers have no choice but to turn to Ainz Ooal Gown to defend their land.
Overlord is originally a series of light novels written by Kuane Maruyama. Published online since 2010, it has been in print since July 2012 in Japan and 2017 in France. The same year, a manga adaptation by Satoshi Oshio and Hugin Miyama was published, quickly establishing the series as a dark fantasy reference.
Since its anime adaptation, the series has gone from strength to strength, drawing more and more readers into the depths of Nazarick's Tomb.
