Posted on
Equipped with her shamisen, a long-necked Japanese lute, Yuzu Natsumi opens the doors to Japanese culture with her original compositions and spellbinding music.
As a versatile artist, she performs in many fields, from stage performances to radio hosting. She is also a fervent advocate of kiyari, the traditional firemen's song that finds its origins in the Edo period, and is a member of the first professional women's kiyari group.
With her albums Nursery Rhyme in 2017 and California Dreams in 2019, Yuzu Natsumi has captured hearts beyond Japan's borders. She shares her love of traditional Japanese culture and kiyari on her travels around the world, from the USA to Asia.
Come and see her perform at Japan Expo Marseille!
