CHAIKO
CHAIKO is an Anime director in Shanghai. He has already published a successful graphic novel Love Fragments Shanghai, Xiao Pan.
La Fille de Shanghai is about today’s privileged Chinese youth, transposed in an idealized Paris.
Leaving, going far away, without turning back, burying the past to start over somewhere else! That’s what Min wants when leaving Shanghai for Paris. There, she meets Philippe, a French man, older than her, who shows her a world she did not know about. But her past reappears… What price is she ready to pay to be free?
CHAIKO worked in collaboration with Ysabelle CHENG, a young French-Japanese woman living in Paris, who wrote the script and dialogues.

La Porte de Jade brings together in an illustrated book erotic tales from Ancient China for the first time ever. Shanghai, in the 30s, Ye-Zi, the beautiful maid of a rich family, discovers in the office of the son of the house a collection of ancient forbidden books. He convinces her to read them and discover this hidden side of Chinese culture…
CHAIKO made the cover and the main story of this book and worked in collaboration with 7th Orange, Sheng TAO, Sun RUI and Cheng CHENG.
Nie JUN
Nie JUN is an art professor in Beijing and also an invited professor at the university of Tokyo. He makes illustrated books for children and publishes poetic and soft-hearted comics.
In Zobo et les fleurs de vie, Sakura (to be published, February 2010), Nie JUN explores the Japanese symbol of cherry blossom, expressing absolute beauty and the transience of life.
In Japan, as cherry trees are in bloom (Sakura), Doku, a strange blue-eyed boy who attracts every girl’s attention, arrives in young Ryoko’s high-school. Soon, and thanks to Zobo, a wood puppet whose feelings are becoming very human, the two teenagers fall in love. Yet, some day, Doku is wounded during a fight and vanishes. Ryoko, devastated with sorrow, goes looking for him…
